Michael Raven is a highly skilled film maker and creates some incredibly tense moments during this movie. The camerawork is solid and the editing is very slick. Because I'm a sucker for good film making and really love well done features, I fell for The Visitors based on these strengths. Because of the strong sense of suspense created and a rather interesting story, I found myself wanting more. - Rog

3 Wishes
This is a nice little feature with a clever script, a great looking cast and sex that is pretty freaking hot. Stormy has taken a story that we've seen many times and given it a nice twist. Saving her own scenes for the end is a bit of a tease, but the payoff is worth the wait. Before we get to the final fun though we get to watch Jasmine Byrne. That is always a treat and this scene is really well shot. Eva is the perfect office decoration and she knows her way around a desk after hours. - Rog

Jesse Jane All American Girl
This is everything we expect from a project with Celeste's name on it. It is a beautifully shot movie with incredible tease and enough eye candy to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth. I still want to get my hands on the original footage to see if I can watch the action at full speed. Jesse brings so much energy to the sex that it's almost painful to see it held back. I love the tease in this movie and the customs add to the already high eye candy factor. Some of the music is pretty good and as long it is intentional, then the humor is great as well. Anyone who likes Andrew Blake movies will love this one. Jesse excels even if she isn't allowed to be as hot as she could be. I love the scenes she does with Celeste and if we ever get to see her fuck Scott at full speed the way she does here, it just might blow us all away. Harlequin
This is a really interesting little movie. It teeters between comedy and drama from time to time and that can be both brilliant and a bit confusing at the same time. It's a nicely written love story with good dialog that is peppered with some very odd humor. Evan and Kaylani handle their roles well, carrying most of the dialog and the sexual action. More Kaylani would be great, but we do get her three times. Two full boy/girl scenes and one really fantastic POV blowjob. She is one of the best looking women in porn and she does great scenes as well. There are other good scenes as well. - Rog

Pirates
The race for best feature of 2005 is essentially a over. I said it coming out of the premier and stand by the statement now. "Pirates" is a rare creature in adult entertainment. It is a movie that works for couples without being boring. It is a well-shot movie with a solid script and really hot sex. I love the fact that the movie is thoughtful without taking itself too seriously. The comedy works to balance things outs (And it helps hide any less-than-stellar acting performances) and the sex scenes are nicely distributed. Few things bug me more than a story-driven porn that gives us thirty minutes of dialog at one end and six crammed in sex scenes at the other. There are so many things about it that are worthy of awards that I can't name them all. Let's just say that Tommy Gunn is fantastic and so is Janine. If these two don't win awards for their performances then something is seriously wrong. Evan Stone is great at this kind of role as well. Sexually there are countless highlights. Jesse fucks with more energy than ever and I'm growing fonder of her with each passing stroke. Janine takes charge and turns in a great pair of scenes. Austyn Moore comes out of nowhere to hang with the superstars and is the most pleasant surprise in the cast. There isn't much more I can say about the movie. New Devil in Miss Jones, The
Let me start by saying that this is a pretty incredible adult film. The best aspects of it are as good as anything I've seen all year. Savanna Samson gives one of the best acting performances in an adult film in recent memory. She is perfect in the role and manages to shine even when the movie fails. Her sex scenes are the best in the movie as well, but that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has seen her work in the past. It is a great horror movie spoof with more laughs than your average Wayans Brothers' effort offers. It also stars hot chicks who get naked so it wins hands down. Just about every horror movie you can think of gets a nod in this movie. The dialog is funny and for the most part, it is delivered really well. Going Down with Love
The dialog in this movie is really good and it's nicely acted which is good to see. It gets in the way from time to time because we stack so many non-sex scenes on top of each other. So while I enjoy the way the movie is written, we do feel the lack of sex from time to time. When we do get sex, it is pretty good. In addition to Aurora's great little romp at the end we get to see Kylie Ireland do her best to suck the chrome from a trailer hitch. I like her pigtails and plaid in her desktop romp. There are two girl/girl scenes which is one too many in my book, but it gets Flick Shagwell some screen time and gives us another chance to see Aurora naked. This movie feels a bit disjointed at times, but there is good sex and some decent dialog along the way. I won’t give away whatever twists there might be, but this is Robby D. so you can expect things to not always be what they seem. All of the sex is pretty good and two of the scenes really stand out. Avy Scott looks as good as she has ever looked and fucks with her usual style. Stormy looks fantastic and gives us a great scene at the end. It is easy to see why she landed a contract so quickly. Alexa and Lezley really tear thing up in their scene. I’m not always overly fond of these two, but this scene is really hot. As simple porn features go, this one features some great sex, decent dialog and solid technical aspects. It's hard to know exactly where to begin with this movie. Clearly it is an original ride and Veronica Hart should be very proud of what she has created. An X-rated musical that features the actual singing voices of the porn stars who star in the movie is quite an achievement. A few of the performers have pretty good voices though some of the lip-syncing is pretty hilarious. The story is pretty good with or without the songs. Blue Rain
Given the limited amount of time Raven has to tell the story, he does it really well and the sex scenes are nicely paced throughout the flick. (Is there anything worse than a porn that goes on for twenty minutes after the last sex scene?) That leaves us with the sex scenes. With someone as hot as Kaylani in the cast, I was expecting more. Kaylani looks great in her two scenes and the finale with Marcus is the best in the movie, but the others fall somewhat flat. Watching this movie again, it's easy to both strengths and some weaknesses, It's a damn impressive DVD and a much better than average feature, that's the bottom line. Some of the dialog scenes run long, but most of them are pretty well acted. Like most Nic Andrews movies, there are long segments with no sex and that's never a good sign. Devon looks great and carries most of the sexual weight. Avy Scott is sadly underused, but looks great in her veggie scene. I like the car crashes, recognize the impressive technical aspects and even find a lot to enjoy in the script. This really is a nicely put together movie. Red Ezra has made a really hot movie. This is the kind of stuff that Brad Armstrong is known for, but Brad hasn't hit the nail on the head quite this perfectly in a very long time. With this movie, Red Ezra has moved himself to the very top of the ladder when it comes to this sort of theme-driven porn. Hearts & Minds is brilliantly shot, nicely edited and filled with scenes that are a great balance between eye candy and sexual heat. Aurora Snow and Jenna Haze turn in great performances and give us two of the best feature-scenes of the year. Without question, this one will be contending for some major awards at the end of the year.

American Girls
There is a lot of eye candy in this movie and I like the themes for each scene. Jessica Drake and Sandra Hall do the best boy/girl scenes of the movie. I love the use of vehicles in these and the other scenes. Some of the sex is a little lacking in punch and there is a frightening lack of blowjob footage in just about all of them. That sort of ruins it for me in spite the good eye candy. Speaking of eye candy, Monique Alexander looks amazing in her veggie scene. As soon as she decides to go full fledged porn babe, I'll be the first in line to see it.

For Women Only
While the title implies porn for women, this isn't the standard couples-porn slop. The focus is on fantasy and it's not filled with gapes and other things likely to scare you woman away. However, the sex is not nearly as watered down as it is in most movies geared toward a non-raincoat crowd. The fantasy sequences are simple, but fun and the sex is very well shot. Especially hot are the outdoor scenes. Avy and Ava both look great in the midday sun. For my money, the Sunrise scene is the best in this collection, but they are all nicely captured and worth a look. There is no slow motion or cheesy music to take away the heat so we get to enjoy everything it its natural state. Technically solid and sexually hot, this disc is perfect for couples who just like watching good looking people have fun fucking each other silly.

Infidelity
The sex was pretty good, the stars were great to watch, the camera work was excellent and the acting was actually enjoyable. The plot was believable, centering around a Sex Anonymous meeting and what brought each participant there. The acting was surprisingly pretty good, especially that of one of my favorite performers, Brigette Kerkove. In fact, her acting was almost too good. She was extremely believable, confessing her private secrets about alcoholism and sex addiction. It was kind of strange to watch one of my favorite porn sluts in such a seemingly personal role.

Love at First Byte
This is a really impressive feature. In fact, I am inclined to put this one down as one of the best of 2002. The plot is simple, but works with some well done dialog scenes. Aurora Snow shows that she can act when given the chance and that’s pretty impressive. Sexually, this movie is a cut above the usual feature. Asia’s scene really gets things started well and Aurora closes things out with another great scene. In between, there are some other very hot scenes with Keri Windsor, Nikita Denise and April. Add the credible story and the great sex to the spectacular DVD extras and you have one of the best DVD features of the year.

The strength of the movie is in the cast. They are good looking and do a great job with their sex scenes. This is little Kamiko’s final movie on her contract, but I’m sure we will see her in other flicks. Her scenes in this movie are quite hot and she looks good enough to eat. Cheryl Dynasty shines in her scene, showing the energy and great looks that made her so popular so quickly. Nyomi and Jade double up for a very hot three way and Mia Smiles looks sexy as ever. It’s still feature sex which is a step below gonzo sex, but every scene is well shot with good heat. I was worried at the start that Bud Lee would give us a solid feature with questionable sex,

Fade to Black
It’s pretty easy to see why this movie was named Film of the Year by both AVN and XRCO. It’s got a solid story with a very good script. It also has sex that is well above the norm for modern features. Taylor Hayes really does a great job in the lead and Thomas was wise enough to give himself a lot of the male dialog. Since he can handle the non-sex scenes better than the meat vendors he has working the sex scenes, it helps Taylor’s scenes a great deal. There are some problems in this movie, due mostly to the lame practice of intercutting sex scenes. I know that the script calls for scenes to take place simultaneously, but every time we cut from one scene to another the sexual heat takes a serious hit. This annoying flaw aside, there is some good sex in this movie. Both Taylors, Hayes and St. Claire do a very nice job in their scenes. Julie Meadows does a really hot scene with DeBone. If you’re looking for a good feature, this is about as good as I’ve seen in the last few years.

Internal Affairs 2
Luc Wylder and Alexandra Silk are very likeable, if silly. I’ve asked it before and I’ll ask it again: Whatever Alexandra Silk is smoking, where can I get some? She is just hilarious and they both seem baked outta their gourds as they chat with the viewer and the performers, but I still enjoyed their interaction. They bring a human quality to this DVD which is very refreshing. Each of the performing pairs seem to be a romantically involved couple. They are all very sweet and affectionate toward each other. The camera work is passable for gonzo video with outstanding close-ups. I really like the way Luc talks gently and encouragingly to each of the girls at the end of their scene, even though I don’t dig what he is gently encouraging them to do. There is a good selection of not only photo gallery but extra photos from the DVD as well as individual bios. The sex is real, natural and somewhat affectionate and everyone seems very happy to be there.

This has to be one of the better Wicked features out there. It is a nice balance of story, context, message, and filming, with hot girls and hot sex. And if you are in the mood for something that will probably keep you watching up until then end of the story, then I would suggest this one. I mean any flick that can keep your attention after a great orgy scene has to count as something spectacular. Consider it the porn Hitchcock would have made if her were able to be as kinky on screen as he was off.

It is hard to characterize this movie—consider it a little bit of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, meets 12 Monkeys, meets Girl, Interrupted. There is a little bit of everything in this movie. Evan plays a lawyer concurrently blackmailing Stacy Valentine and Gwen Summers, who has never looked hotter. Island Fever
This is a much hotter movie than some of Tera’s other big budget island movies. What stands out right away is the lack of slow motion sex. That just kills things for me and for much of the porn loving audience. Since most of the sex in this movie is at full speed, we can focus on some of the other aspects. The settings for these scenes couldn’t be more stunning. Just the waterfall alone is something that shouldn’t be missed. When you take great looking women like Tera and Brianna and put them in fantastic looking settings, you usually get hot scenes. Tera is reason enough for most people to watch this movie, and she’s still the best. Thankfully, she’s not the only reason though. Obviously, if you don’t like Kobe Tai, there isn’t much reason to grab this DVD. On the other hand, if you’re a fan of tiny porn queen, then this is just about the perfect disc. Fantasy Chamber has everything a girl could want in porn. The performers, male and female, are all gorgeous, clean and well-groomed. This feature is very well acted (except for Steele-learn how to use punctuation Girl!), the plot is exciting and it’s shot like a cable cop show. I was very impressed with the time and care that Raven must have given this story and the artistic measure he took while creating such an exciting fuck film. I would recommend this flick to anyone who is interested in adult features; this is the best feature I have seen all year. Awakening
It isn’t often that porn gives us a movie with this kind of a script. First of all, there is actually some character development. People in this movie change as it goes. It’s also rather well acted, particularly by Inari. I have never seen her this good and I would have to say she’s a front runner for best actress honors this year. How is the sex? Sometimes, it’s quite good. Both Inari and Kobe do some very good work, it is a very well written, finely acted, nicely shot couples movie. They might as well hand David Stanley the award for best script right now.
